Who is this for?

This program is for anyone interested in using creative data visualization as a part or all of their work. Perhaps you're a career-switcher or a student. Perhaps you're an analyst looking to inject creativity into your data work. Perhaps you're a designer looking to inject data into your creative work. Freelance or salaried, we can help.

Who is this NOT for?

We are not a good match for you if you're primarily looking for only technical how-to or coding tutorials. We touch on software skills for specific techniques we use, but there are plenty of existing free resources on the web to learn D3.js or Tableau and we don’t see a need to compete with those, though we will point you towards them. The content we produce is more focused on inspiration, creativity and storytelling than mastery of specific tools.

You’ll also get the most out of Elevate if you’re a self-directed learner. We won’t tell you what you need to know, we’ll help you figure out what you need to know, and support you as you learn it.

Do I need much experience with data visualization ?

No, the membership is meant for people of all skill levels, so we share a wide range of content from basic to advanced. We are highly responsive to what our membership needs, so if there’s something you want to see then just ask.

Is there a set curriculum?

No, you can think of the program as a course that never ends. Thanks to our archives, you will have access on day one to many short courses, videos, and blog posts. You can work at your own pace and choose what’s interesting to you.

Do I have to commit to a year?

We offer monthly and annual memberships, which work out at the same price. We’re sure you’ll love the program, but you can cancel your membership at any time. There’s no obligation to stick around if it’s not the right fit for you.
